Returns, refunds, and exchanges that used to be split across separate workflows can now be processed right in the Shopify POS cart screen. Handling at the register becomes faster and simpler, and the range of return/exchange scenarios you can support widens. A new Return permission and a setting to require return reasons are added at the same time.
Returns, refunds, and exchanges were split across separate screens and steps, and staff had to switch between different flows to process them.
Returns, refunds, and exchanges are completed on a single cart screen. Returned items, exchange items, and add-on purchases are handled in the same cart, and any price difference can be refunded or settled on the spot.
