Store staff can now create pickup orders from the POS cart for any pickup-enabled location. The cart's "pickup location" row becomes tappable, showing each store's inventory in real time so staff can switch stores with a single tap.
The pickup location row was fixed, and there was no way from the cart to switch to another store, compare inventory, and build a pickup order.
Tap the pickup location row → see each store's live inventory and choose one → create an order for pickup at that store. You can reliably pick a store that has stock.
Tap the "Pickup location" row in the cart to open the store selection screen.
Switch between pickup-enabled locations with a single tap.
Each location's inventory is shown in real time, so you can choose a store that can fulfill the order.
| Item | Requirement |

In the POS cart, tap the "Pickup location" row to open store selection.
Compare inventory across locations and select a store that can fulfill the order.
Confirm it as a pickup order at the chosen store. Staff can complete the whole flow inside the cart.
Each store's inventory is shown in real time, which means accurate per-location inventory data is the prerequisite for this to work. The accuracy of stocktaking and inventory sync directly affects the UX.
POS 11.8 or later is required. If the POS app's update status varies from device to device, you'll end up with a mix of registers that can and can't use the feature.Keeping every device updatedis an operational prerequisite.
This targets POS Pro. In organizations that also have Lite locations, you need to determine in advance which sites the feature applies to.
Even with multiple locations, cross-border configurations spanning different countries are not supported. Global organizations that separate entities and inventory by country should note that eligibility is determined on a per-country basis.
The "pickup at another store" experience (BOPIS / store-to-store transfer-like flows) that used to be assembled mostly on the ecommerce side can nowbe put together on the spot by in-store staff from the cart. It's worth revisiting your inventory location design and fulfillment operations (pickup notifications, handover ops) so they can also run with an in-store starting point. API/Webhook specifications arenot mentionedin this announcement, so if you need automated integration, verify it separately.
